Position Overview:
The Analyst, People Analytics & Systems is primarily responsible for analyzing and interpreting people-related data to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions and optimize human resources strategies. This role involves leading analytics projects, developing reports, building dashboards, and identifying key trends within our workforce data. The Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert, leveraging the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to deliver timely and accurate intelligence to leadership. This position supports a dynamic workforce of thousands of team members, requiring a blend of strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset. This position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and Nevada state law. It is paid on a salary basis and is not eligible for overtime.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead People Analytics projects for the organization, delivering strategic recommendations on key metrics such as turnover, headcount, and compensation to senior leadership.
- Develop and manage data visualizations, dashboards, and ad-hoc reporting tools to provide ongoing business insights.
- Perform in-depth analyses to assess and monitor the performance and effectiveness of various team member incentive programs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis, presenting findings and recommendations to the People Operations team.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the HRIS, ensuring the seamless execution of all employee lifecycle transactions and maintaining exceptional data quality.
- Serve as a technical point-of-contact for the HRIS, providing direct support, troubleshooting, and guidance to team members and departmental partners.
- Process and approve workflows for new hires, terminations, and other personnel changes, handling all sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements and upgrades to ensure new functionality meets business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred2-4 years of relevant work experience in data analysis, HRIS, or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas)..
- Experience in Hospitality Operations preferred.
- Critical thinking skills with a curiosity for improving current processes.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
