ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Assistant Director - Luxury Transportation Services will ensure the department is meeting or exceeding customer expectations, managing vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and training transportation staff, managing contracts, and adhering to all safety and compliance regulations. The Assistant Director - Luxury Transportation Services will have exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a strong background in hotel operations and luxury transportation services.

All duties are to be performed in accordance The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee transportation department, ensuring all staff are performing at high levels and meeting customer expectations.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and appropriate use of resources.
  • Manage payroll and employee scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage and fair distribution of hours.
  • Management responsibilities include hiring recommendations that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; training; coaching; performance feedback, recommending and administering discipline, and scheduling.
  • Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate vehicle maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance, reducing downtime and increasing efficiency.
  • Maintain relationship with transportation vendors and contractors, ensuring that they meet the standards of the company.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to improve transportation services and resolve issues.
  • Actively seeks out opportunities for growth and improvement within the department, keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices.

  • Monitors all daily transactions and services to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Provides exceptional service to clients, including managing customer complaints and concerns.
  • Monitors and manages all schedules and operational expenses to ensure cost effectiveness and maximum productivity.

  • Promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Driver’s License and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Driver's License and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry required; with preference in luxury transportation management and/or hotel operations highly preferred.
  • Working Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the transportation industry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, LMS, & Micros
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong financial management and budgeting skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing payroll and scheduling for transportation staff.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and other departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Must be able to give directions, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with hotel guests in a congenial and polite manner.
  • Must be able to address stressful situations with clients and guests with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
