COORDINATOR - BUTLERS

Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Coordinator – Butler is to provide exceptional service to guests designated for Butler service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answers all phone calls and SMS messages promptly and according to The Venetian Resort's service standards, using the defined script to greet guests and determine their needs. 
  • Accurately takes and enters guest orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system and coordinates with Butlers to ensure timely service. 
  • Manages all liquor-related tasks for the Department, including processing charges through the POS system for in-suite bar refreshes and departmental restocks, maintaining an accurate liquor tracking log for all inventory removed from storage, and receiving and verifying daily liquor shipments from the warehouse. 
  • Books and confirms guest transportation requests using various in-house programs. 
  • Maintains and updates departmental information to ensure accurate execution of guest services. 
  • Responds to guest inquiries regarding The Venetian Resort and Las Vegas. When unable to answer, researches the information and provides a timely response. 
  • Records all pertinent information and preferences in guest profiles to ensure personalized service. 
  • Ensures all guest-related comps for amenities are submitted correctly. 
  • Assists in recording laundry, dry cleaning, pressing, and shoe polishing services. 
  • Collaborates effectively with other departments to ensure all guest needs are fulfilled. 

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sources items for guests as assigned, including but not limited to event tickets, shopping, food products, and packages, ensuring all requests are handled as long as they are safe, legal, and economically sound. 
  • Adheres to all departmental service standards and safety guidelines. 
  • Cleans and maintains all work areas to resort standards to ensure a safe and professional environment. 
  • Safety is an essential function of this job. 
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age. 
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of service experience in a luxury hotel, casino, restaurant, or related hospitality field. 
  • Previous experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and general computer proficiency. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Alcohol Awareness (TAM) Card and any other certification or license as required by law or policy.  
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.  
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Fluency in a second language is preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to: 

  • Lift or carry 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned. 
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation. 
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts. 
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts. 
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel. 
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
