COST OPTIMIZATION ANALYST - FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS

Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Cost Optimization Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis is to support the Food and Beverage and Financial Planning & Analysis departments with Cost of Goods initiatives across the property. This role ensures the accuracy of supplier cost activities and verifies that all data entering the Craftable platform is correct. Additionally, the Administrator will collaborate with key stakeholders to assess pricing, menu engineering, and internal controls to contribute to the savings initiative.

 

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Food and Beverage and Financial Planning & Analysis departments with Cost of Goods initiatives across the property.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of supplier cost activities.
  • Verifying that all data entered the Craftable platform is correct and up to date.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to evaluate pricing strategies and menu engineering.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of internal controls to support cost-saving initiatives.
  • Analyzing cost data and providing insights to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators related to cost management and savings.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to align goals and drive results for the property’s financial objective

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in cost of goods analysis or cost management, preferably within the hospitality or food & beverage industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing cost of goods
  • Working knowledge of computer systems including MS Office (Word, PowerPoints, Teams) and Craftable
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 10 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.

  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
