Executive - Asian Marketing

Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Executive Director – Asian Marketing is responsible for supporting the property’s marketing efforts in the Asian Market. Focus on customer productivity in Hong Kong, Taiwan, California/Domestic, Canada, Pacific Rim and Japan markets. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate daily in the operation to ensure department is being managed effectively.
- Support the VP – Premium Mass Asian Marketing in ensuring that Asian Marketing operation complies with current operating criteria, policies and procedures.
- Continuously stay informed of applicable international marketing trends.
- Regularly conduct competitive analysis of Las Vegas Strip properties.
- Respond effectively to internal audit reports and recommendations.
- Initiate revenue recovery program when needed with regards to hosts, special events, and direct marketing efforts.
- Focus on driving host productivity through telemarketing, theoretical win production, trips booked, new customer development, profitability, and event contribution.
- Work with gaming operations to maximize drop/handle/win and bottom-line margin.
- Periodically review all business practices to ensure strategic and cost effectiveness.
- Set and maintain high standards of service and practices throughout the property.
- Identify training needs, initiate and review training and re-training activities.
- Work closely with Vice President – Premium Mass Asian Marketing to maintain positive working environment, accountability, adherence to GCB policy, and performance effectiveness.
- Respond to customer requests, concerns, and complaints in a timely and complete manner.
- Work proactively with other departments within marketing and with other divisions at The Venetian Resort.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Focus on team member acquisition and retention program to include benefits, communication, compensation, and incentive program individually as needed.
- Effectively develop and manage Strategic Plan and Budget as a roadmap in achieving marketing goals.
- Focus on customer development (new and existing) including prospecting, promotions, events, and additional customer relationship management activity.
- Establish marketing foothold in Asian countries through travel and marketing campaigns. Work closely with Macao properties to promote customer development and brand synergy.
- Assist with collections and player management.
- Drive implementation and utilization of premium amenities and services: aircraft, premium suites, baccarat salon, limo/phantom.
- Develop travel and event programs for visiting and prospecting guests, and related customer incentive programs to build customer loyalty and repeat trips.
- Develop relationships with US Visa consulates to assist customers with travel.
- Be continuously aware of current and forecast financial/business performance and actively involved in analyzing and implementing required changes.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 7+ years of international marketing experience in the hospitality and or travel/tourism industry required.
- Experience with a 4 star/diamond property preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese).
- Must demonstrate extensive knowledge of high-end casino clientele pay habits and preferences.
- Solid comprehension of the Asian market, including systems, business principles and practices, and laws.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
