FLOOR SUPERVISOR - POKER

Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Floor Supervisor - Poker is to supervise poker cash games and tournaments ensuring unmatched guest service, proper game pace, proper rake and compliance with all gaming and The Venetian Resort regulations and procedures.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee duties as provided by the Shift Manager, including cash and tournament games, always looking for irregularities or deviations from procedure.
- Ensure all Poker Room Team Members adhere to company policies and gaming regulations, accurately collect rake, and promptly report any violations to the Poker Shift Manager or Area Supervisor.
- Establish and maintain a courteous rapport with all Casino Guests and fellow Team Members.
- Communicate and handle Casino Guests and Team Member concerns quickly and courteously.
- Inform Team Members of procedural updates/policy changes and monitor for compliance
- Open and close games as instructed by the Poker Shift Manager, to include oversight of poker tournaments from opening to closing of an event.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
• Highlight the benefits of the Venetian Rewards program to players and encourage players to enroll.
• Ensure all Team Members consistently meet Guest Service standards by providing flawless service, engaging guests, and making them feel welcome.
• Recognize and respond to minors in the casino, suspicious transactions, signs of problem gambling, and monitor intoxicated guests.
• Serve as a substitute for other Poker positions when needed.
• Assess, evaluate and provide feedback and ideas on activities, tasks or processes in accordance with company guidelines.
• Safety is an essential function of this job.
• Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration, Alcohol Awareness Card and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 3 years of experience as a Poker Dealer or Supervisor.
- Previous experience at a four- or five-star resort preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience at a four- or five-star resort preferred.
- Must possess complete knowledge of common rules and procedures of all Poker games.
- Must be able to perform basic math skills and have general computer knowledge.
- Must have ability to make fair and equitable judgment calls.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to:
- Lift or carry 10 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
- Must have the ability to reach or lean across the table to retrieve player identification or other documentation, maintain manual dexterity to input and extract player information into the casino computer systems.
- Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
- Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
- Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
