MANAGER - ADVERTISING AND MARKETING

Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager – Advertising and Marketing is to oversee marketing programs and projects for assigned areas for The Venetian Resort.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Destination Marketing to manage consistency and integrity of marketing communications and the guest experience.
  • Establish the company’s brand voice, identity and messaging framework and implement across all guest touch points.
  • Manage the creative messaging across all traditional paid media assets in a manner that is consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the properties.
  • Act as the day-to-day liaison for all external media, advertising and brand agencies.
  • Manage advertising projects relating to out of market campaigns: in-house and with agencies to include, broadcast, print and outdoor media, print collateral, signage, maps and directories, voice-over recordings, and broadcast production.
  • Manage campaign media budget and financial spend.
  • Manage timely submissions of media.
  • Serve as a representative for numerous Brand Marketing and Advertising projects for The Venetian Resort. This includes but is not limited to; Brand Marketing, Sales, Leisure Sales, Hotel Operations, Human Resources and Horticulture. Additional categories may be added as needed.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare creative briefs, project status reports, marketing plans and project outlines.
  • Ensure projects are completed on-time, on brand, within budget and accomplish target business objectives.
  • Manage related meetings and processes from project initiation to completion.
  • Proofread creative comps and route for approval within the department.
  • Present concepts and/or marketing materials to key stakeholders.
  • Utilize WorkFront and DAM systems to manage projects and digital assets.
  • Work with Production/Traffic Manager on delivery deadlines for printed materials.
  • Represent the department and organization with external partners in a collaborative and cohesive manner to advance both parties mutual objectives.
  • Manage current and develop new departmental SOP’s.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, or similar disciplines
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Advertising, Marketing and/or Branding.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial/budget management, as well as brand development and brand marketing.
  • Working knowledge of project management software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift or carry 10 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
