MANAGER - LABOR PLANNING & ANALYSIS

Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Manager - Labor Planning & Analysis is to collaborate and partner with property leadership in the production of timely and astute reporting analysis, which leads to actionable results to drive better efficiency and overall company profitability. This position will also oversee compensation processes to include multiple incentive programs for various departments with the goal of creating efficiencies, increasing revenue, reducing expenses, or improving controls.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work independently to build ad hoc labor data that is being requested and provide to the departments without prior approval.
- Oversee labor analytical projects for approximately 8,800+ Team Members and provide actionable and strategic recommendations for management including senior leadership.
- Responsible for administering incentive payments in accordance with department policies in a timely and accurate manner, overseeing all day-to-day decisions regarding assigned incentives.
- Assist with development of incentive reporting for assigned departments to monitor performance to plan and assess whether updates to the plan are necessary.
- Function as a business partner during annual labor budgets and forecasting processes. Create and establish FTE budgets for designated departments based on run rates and/or operational adjustments.
- Generate and prepare findings/recommendations based on historical data and will submit to the departments independently and with sole discretion without prior approval. Responsible for labor optimization analysis and reporting for all 100+ gaming and non-gaming departments with $600+m of total payroll expense.
- Administers labor studies using statistical and observational data to formulate efficiency standards and optimum scheduling models to maintain continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produces and maintains a property headcount compendium that monitors new hire/replacement activity compared to budgets and targets.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Function as the team lead on major projects.
- Manages and coaches the analysts to ensure an effective team performance.
- Compile department requests that require Compensation Committee approval and assist with facilitating the meeting/process.
- Collaborate with Workforce Management to ensure newly created bids are performing as expected and assess if current bids remain effective for business needs.
- Perform compensation analyses to ensure that compensation packages, salary ranges, grades, etc. are competitive relative to the market.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or 3-5 years relevant work experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 3-5 years of experience in Analytics, Continuous Improvement, or Hospitality Operations.
- Experience in direct support of Hospitality Operations preferred.
- Must have strong PC skills, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in Cognos TM1, Tableau, and different hospitality operations software.
- Possess a continuous improvement mindset to challenge the status quo, ability to lead projects and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
