MANAGER - SLOT PERFORMANCE

Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Manager – Slot Performance is to assist department leadership in the collaboration with vendors and takes the primary responsibility in the coordination and execution of slot projects that are designed to grow the overall revenue of the slot floor. This also includes the review and preparation of all slot system and document related activities that are required for slot project communication and execution.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide clear and transparent guidance to the slot technical team for all projects that impact the slot department.
- Organize and coordinate the preparation and completion of all slot related projects.
- Coordinate with the Venetian Procurement Team to identify current and new vendors for both technical and project support with a goal to increase project execution efficiencies and timelines.
- Coordinate with slot operations and technical managers to ensure effective training is completed for all new slot products deployed to the casino floor.
- Perform ACSC System configurations for all slot projects and administrative updates required within ACSC.
- Perform configurations on slot systems relating to project planning and execution.
- Prepare clear and precise timelines and execution plans for the slot technical team for all slot related projects. Follow up and communicate effectively to ensure project plans and timelines are executed as planned.
- Effectively communicate all project plans to slot management with a clear outlined approach to project execution.
- Evaluate processes in place that relate to project execution for efficiencies and updates.

- Monitor compliance with all aspects of The Venetian Resort’s internal controls and NGCB MICS.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies and procedures.
- Manage assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, the division, and The Venetian Resort’s.
- Provide input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure The Venetian Resort’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.
- Manage Human Resources responsibilities for assigned department(s) to include creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; adherence to the company’s status quo third party representation philosophy; compliance with company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.

Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 5 years slot project and performance experience in a high-volume Slot Department.
- 5 years minimum slot technical experience and a high-level understanding of the mechanical and electronic operation of slot machines and associated equipment is an advantage.
- Slot project coordination and execution experience is an advantage.
- Must have a high level of slot technical understanding of slot machines. This also includes the understanding and functionality of all slot systems.
- Must be able to efficiently evaluate the requirements required for the execution of all slot projects, layout changes, and floor coverage to maximize the revenue potential of the slot floor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a high understanding of slot machine PAR sheets and the configuration of slot machines to maximize the profitability of the slot floor.
- Excellent personal computer skills including word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheet (MS Excel).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests, vendors, and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.

- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.

- Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel.
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
