SPECIALIST - HRIS

Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Specialist – HRIS is to provide support to Team Members and departments in HR systems, maintaining Team Member records, performing data integrity audits and processing personnel changes. The Specialist will also monitor license requirements based on regulatory requirements and responsible for generating reports/notifications to Team Members and departments.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process new hires ensuring Team Members have appropriate licenses or certifications.
- Review and approve personnel changes and terminations received through workflow approvals in the HR system.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including procedural manuals, HR department procedure/policy manuals, and other related documents.
- Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and Team Member records in the document repository system for the purpose of providing accurate information in compliance with established guidelines.
- Assists with audit responsibilities and executing audit queries for HR data integrity. This includes licenses/certifications, I-9’s expirations and Team Member data.
- Participates in HR initiatives by assisting with existing processes, identifying problems and ideas for improvements.
- Perform testing activities related to enhancement projects and routine system upgrades.
- Maintains and audits Gaming Employee Registrations and I-9 recertifications. Manages notifications sent to Team Members. Creates and distributes reports to management, and follows through for resolution by working closely with designated business partners.
- Assists with general inquiries from departments, Team Members, and HR Partners via email, phone and in-person.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists Team Members with accessing the HR system to include password resets, troubleshooting minor issues and how to perform self-service activities.
- Prioritizes and monitors timelines to complete daily tasks, department assignments or projects.
- Safety is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
- Undergraduate College Degree or equivalent experience in a relative field.
- 1-3 years of HRIS experience.
- Experience with HRIS system administration and support. Previous experience with SuccessFactors HRIS is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- Knowledge and experience with using reporting tools.
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:

- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.

- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
