SR MANAGER - SLOTS

Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Senior Manager - Slots is to lead and manage slot daily operations.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Slot Managers through mentoring to ensure that they meet The Venetian Resort’s standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all department policies and procedures.
  • Be completely knowledgeable concerning Slot Marketing system such as ACSC or equivalent.
  • Complete all paperwork in accordance with Nevada Gaming Regulations and approved The Venetian Resort’s standards.
  • Support Company and Department decisions.
  • Work in conjunction with the Director Slot Operations to recommend and lead goals.
  • Provide reports of continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participate in the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new product, services, technology and processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective prioritization.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to track and reconcile project costs to project forecast.
  • Ability to maintain a balanced departmental budget.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Maintain a clear and open communication with guest, managers and team members.
  • Must be a positive team member and role model at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration, Alcohol Awareness Card and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • 5 years management experience in a high volume Slot Department in a management capacity.
  • Must possess excellent personal computer skills including word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheets (MS Excel) with a working knowledge of all Microsoft based office products.
  • Extensive training skills in all aspects of slot operation possess organizational skills and the ability to coordinate the completion of multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 30 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.

  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
